Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo received this message from Filipino-American social media influencer Bretman Rock.

Bretman has always been proud of his Filipino heritage. He would talk about the Filipino culture in interviews and his social media posts. Just recently, he mentioned the success that the Pinoy gymnast achieved in the Olympics.

Bretman Rock congratulated the “golden boy.” “Our king, the Filipino GOAT (Greatest of all time) of Olympics, Mr. Carlos Edriel Yulo,” he said about the Pinoy gymnast.

The Fil-Am social media personality is also hopeful that more younger Filipinos will follow in the footsteps of Carlos. “I can’t wait to see more kids wanting to do sports because of him, especially boys who were shamed to explore feminine sports like gymnastics being one of them,” Bretman said.

He also mentioned weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz who brought home the gold from a male-dominated sports. Bretman stressed that Filipinos are breaking the norm in sports. The Fil-Am content creator also shared that he congratulated Carlos through a direct message. The Pinoy gymnast replied to him with, “Thank you so much po.”

Carlos Yulo received praises from his fellow Filipinos from different walks of life. The Olympic gold medalist was celebrated by many celebrities in the Philippines as well such as Unkabogable Vice Ganda who quipped that Carlos has no longer to pay when he goes to Vice Comedy Club.

Despite the celebration for Carlos Yulo’s triumph, a controversy involving his family and his girlfriend social media personality Chloe San Jose surfaced. It was found out by the public that his mother Angelica Yulo is not in favor of his relationship with Chloe. The money issues between them also became a hot topic as allegedly, Angelica spent Carlos’s money from his sports incentives.
