Josh Cullen, K-pop group H1-KEY collab for ‘Re: Thinkin’ About You’
A’TIN and M1-KEY have probably been thinking about the remix version of “Thinkin’ About You,” a collaboration between their beloved idols Josh Cullen of P-pop phenomenon SB19 and K-pop girl group H1-KEY.
On its YouTube channel, H1-KEY dropped the music video for “Re: Thinkin’ About You” on Wednesday, November 20. The three-minute and 19-second clip opened with Josh singing his verse in English and Tagalog.
His part goes: “Now I know that we’ve been thinking ‘bout each other kahit na ‘di magkasama; I’ve been tryna hit your line pero para bang unti-unting nawawala ka; Baby, are you mine? All I really wanna know is where you wanna put my heart; Is it you, or it’s me? Are we still meant to be?”
“Re: Thinkin’ About You” speaks about emotional growth and mature breakup experiences.
This is a response to the original version “Thinkin’ About You,” which deals with the painful feeling of longing for a loved one following a breakup. The single was first released under the girl group’s project “H1-KEYnote” in January.
Before the remix’s release, H1-KEY shared a group photo with Josh in the recording studio on X (formerly Twitter), fueling the excitement for their special collaboration.
The hashtag “Re_ThinkinAboutYou” and “Thinkin About JC” are trending on X, as many fans praised the artists for their song. Some commended Josh’s “smooth” transition from English to Tagalog and said that it was their “favorite part” of the song.
Collab stage
In case some fans missed it, Josh and H1-KEY already performed the special song collaboration during their live performance at the 2024 ROUND Festival in Busan, South Korea in July.
This was seen on clips shared online by several fans who attended the music festival, which featured other renowned artists from the ASEAN region and Korea. At the time, some netizens wondered if it was their new song since it had not been officially announced that “Thinkin’ About You” would have a remix version.
It can be recalled that Josh also did a dance cover of “Thinkin’ About You” with H1-KEY members Seoi, Riina, Yel, and Hwiseo on TikTok. The girl group, on the other hand, the SB19 member for a dance cover of his song “Get Right.”
Josh released his debut solo album “Lost & Found” in September. In support of this, he recently held a concert tour locally and internationally, including Dubai, Hong Kong, and Cebu, Philippines. This marked Josh’s first concert tour as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, H1-KEY officially debuted in January 2022, with the single “ATHLETIC GIRL.” The group was supposed to perform in the country for a concert in March, but the event was canceled due to “unforeseen challenges.”
The concert was expected to feature a P-pop star, whom netizens guessed was Josh based on a clue that promoter HY Live dropped on social media.
