The actress, while expressing her gratitude, broke down in tears on February 2, thanking film directors, production staff, mentors, and fellow actors for their roles in her career.

Bernardo also acknowledged ABS-CBN executives for their consistent support and recalled a promise made in 2020 not to leave the network.

She emphasized, “I remember in 2020, I made a promise, sinabi ko sa ABS-CBN na, ‘Hindi kita iiwan at nandito lang ako hanggang makabangon ka ulit.’ And today, here I am, fulfilling that promise.”

Acknowledging the past year as extremely challenging, Bernardo admitted, “It’s so hard to find real friends in the industry. Ni-prove nila possible din na makahanap ka ng mabubuting tao sa industriya… Sila ‘yung mga nandyan especially nung pinakakailangan ko sila. Thank you for staying and thank you for being with me throughout all this.”

Bernardo thanked her fans for allowing her the freedom to choose her own happiness. While not delving into specifics, it’s worth noting that she confirmed her breakup with longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla in November 2023.

Towards the conclusion of the contract-signing event, Bernardo reiterated her commitment to ABS-CBN, stating that the network will always be her second home, emphasizing her willingness to do anything for family.
