Paris believed her father was murdered and in the years after his death, she attempted suicide multiple times due to depression.
Michael Jackson and his daughter as a child.
In an interview with Rolling Stone titled Paris Jackson: Life After Neverland , the late King of Pop’s only daughter shared many secrets about her father, her own struggles as a teenager, and her dreams for the future.
“My dad used to hint that someone wanted to get rid of him,” Paris recalled. “There were a few times he said, ‘ They’re going to kill me one day .'”
When asked if she truly believed that Michael Jackson was murdered, Paris replied without hesitation: “Absolutely, because it was so obvious. All the arrows pointed to that. It sounds like a conspiracy theory and like something that’s bullshit, but all the true fans and everyone in the family knew that. It was all set up.”
Paris shares about her father’s death in Rolling Stone magazine.
While it’s hard to imagine who would want to kill the pop superstar, Paris insists that “there are a lot of people who would want her dad dead.” Paris also blames Dr. Conrad Murray for her father’s overdose, but she believes there are more sinister plots behind it and that she will find justice one day: “It’s like a game of chess. I’m playing and trying to play it right. That’s all I can say right now.”
Michael Jackson died suddenly in 2009 from a drug overdose. Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced to four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter. Paris was 11 years old at the time.

Paris Jackson said that after her father passed away, she had a long struggle with depression, low self-esteem and drug addiction. Paris confessed that she had attempted suicide many times because she thought “I can’t do anything right, I don’t deserve to live anymore”. In June 2013, Paris took 20 Motrin painkillers and slit her wrists to commit suicide. She was rushed to the emergency room and then underwent a long period of psychological treatment.
Another shocking incident that happened during Paris’ teenage years was a sexual assault when she was 14. Paris said she was molested by an older man who was “a complete stranger”: “I don’t want to go into too many details, but it was a terrible experience and it was very difficult for me. At that time, I didn’t dare tell anyone.”
Without her father to protect her as a child, while her mother, nurse Debbie Rowe, lived in a remote place, Paris struggled to overcome her dark and hidden pain. In the interview, Paris proudly revealed that she is now completely sober and has become a strong girl.
With her beloved father, Paris still keeps beautiful memories of a father who loved her very much, a delicious cook with fried chicken and french fries. And Paris said that her father still visits her often in her dreams every night.
