7 times Vice Ganda turned into a fairy godmother on It s Showtime 1
Every time we hear his name, the first thing that comes to mind is how a brilliant and formidable comedian he is. During weekdays and Saturdays, he never fails to make us laugh out loud with his hilarious antics and banters with his gregarious family on It’s Showtime, and on Sunday nights, he caps off our weekends in a high note by spreading good vibes as the sole host of the top-rating comedy program Gandang Gabi Vice.

But as we got to know the real him throughout his inspiring two-decade career in the local entertainment scene, we found out that there’s definitely more in him than the cheerful façade he displays and the luxurious and trendy fashion he parades. Vice is actually a person who possesses a wonderful personality and a heart of gold, just like the fairy godmothers we encountered on our favorite fairytales.

Here are the delighting moments when our beloved Vice Ganda won our hearts not just with his undisputed comedic flair, but with his heart-melting magnanimity on the noontime show.

TNT Hurados at hosts, binigyan nang maagang pamasko at pang-birthday si daily contender Roel

Just when tricycle driver Roel Asog thought that it was another ordinary day of taking passengers to their destinations, the Unkabogable Star caught him off guard when he stopped him while passing by the ELJCC Tower of ABS-CBN and chatted with him while they were on his tricycle.

Since it was already Yuletide, Vice asked Roel what possible tangible gifts would make him and his family happy on the highly anticipated annual holiday, to which he shyly replied a doll for his daughter, a bike for his son, noche buena package and a pair of rubber shoes for his wife, and a motorcycle for himself. These might be much, but the generous host promised to grant his wishes and even let him experience the ‘party-party’ feels of the It’s Showtime studio.

He might have failed to finish college, but that didn’t hinder Vice to be passionate in helping less fortunate yet diligent students, especially the members of the LGBT community, in pursuing their education.

In one of the episodes of Miss Q & A, one of the contestants imparted having to stop on his final semester because of their family’s inability to pay the whopping tuition fee after his brother’s sudden demise. Seeing his sincerity and persistence, the comedian-host expressed his willingness to provide Php35,000 financial aid in order for him to enroll.

Tawag ng Tanghalan contender Clorinda Masim’s story about her children’s perseverance to do well in school and accomplish their studies in spite of poverty warmed the heart of Vice, thus he vowed to give them laptops, which they could use in doing their assignments and projects without having to go to their classmates house to us their computer.

Vice Ganda, binigyan ng 35,000 pesos ang isa sa Miss Q & A 2019 candidate pampa-enroll!

TNT Daily Contender Roel Angot was surely grateful to the Unkabogable Star’s ability to ‘manipulate’ the hurados after his simple prodding on them worked when each one of them handed Roel a few bucks upon singing their hits. His on-the-spot ‘caroling’ earned a total of Php21,050, making him already a winner!

Underprivileged yet industrious people indeed never fail to touch the heart of multi-faceted celebrity as he was able to share his blessings to another TNT contestant who’s a struggling criminology student.

When interviewed by Vice after her performance, Claire Ann Villena admirable attitude and optimism, as well as her family, towards their lowly life truly stirred him. That’s why he vowed to fund the five set of uniforms she needs, and even the full school attire of her younger sister.

For someone who obviously has a strong cohesion towards his family, TNT semi-finalist Windiemie Yntong’s tale about her family’s plight warmed his heart. In order for them to make both ends meet, they have to go on separate paths to earn a living and endure the longing they have for each member of their family.

Thus, the Unkabogable Star suggested that they should have a reunion on last year’s Christmas Day and even vouched to pay for their fares, accommodation, and other fees if they wish to spend it either in Manila, Cebu, Siquijor, or Dumaguete.

The ever-radiant beauty of It’s Showtime dancer-turned-celebrity Jackque “Ate Girl” Gonzaga glowed even brighter when in an episode of Miss Q & A, Vice surprised her with a present he bought during one of his trips abroad – a luxury backpack – which would be a great reminder for her that whenever she goes, he always got her back.

The world may not be a wish-granting factory like what a popular young adult novel says, but Vice Ganda only proves that there are still altruistic and compassionate people out there who’s willing to listen to our qualms and even grant the desires of our hearts according to their capabilities.
